I would love to share it with you....

I know, you must be wondering what GFH stands for.
Before you go crazy making guess after guess, I'll unravel the riddle right now: GFH stands for "Grossi Family Hospitality."
That's three words, but maybe I need a few more to tell you the story they encapsulate.

The year is 1994. My wife Cinzia and I, after a few years spent between bars and restaurants, decided to start a new adventure together (no, I'm not talking about marriage, we were already stuck on that one, alas...): the management of Hotel Niagara, a small family hotel in Marotta, Marche.

It was a hard and intense 3 years: as a family we were always perfectionists and left nothing to chance. Everything in every room had to be clean and tidy at all times; the scents coming from the kitchen had to captivate our guests even before they sat down at the table. And they had to continue to tickle their taste buds even when they got up....

During that time we learned and understood many things.
But one above all changed our lives: the smiles of our clients, their "Thank you, we had a great time," those "It was like spending time with family."

San Marco, the hotel in the Marche region by the sea: let the challenge begin

When we left Hotel Niagara those voices were still ringing in our heads. And they made us more and more convinced of what we wanted to create with our hotel in the Marche: an idea of hospitality that was "this hotel is a home, yours."

So when we took the Hotel San Marco in Marotta in 2001, we did so with clear ideas: we wanted a family hotel in Le Marche unlike any other. The one that, once you discovered it, when booking a new vacation, you didn't need to search far and wide for seaside hotels in the Marche.

All we had to do was pick up our cell phone and dial our number, "Hello, hello! Of course, your room is waiting for you; we look forward to seeing you again," would have been the reply from the other end.

Reinforcements arrive: Alexander and Francis' adventure in hotel management in the Marche region begins

Alexander and Francis, the "little ones" of the house, grew up on "bread and hotel days." They have seen us work impossible hours, come home exhausted or maybe not come home at all.
Because during the summer months, when the activity got busy, we were always at the hotel. Every day. Night and day.

Until 2007 they, too, devoted their summers to the San Marco Hotel. Then they spent their winters touring the world: the United States, Australia, New Zealand...

Then, as often happens, there comes a time when the "little ones" grow up and need to make their own way. Ale and Francy's began in 2013 when they chose to take over Hotel Prestige, a seaside hotel in Marotta di Fano, together. Ah, how they cut their teeth with that experience....

Casali Marchigiani arrives

When you experience such beautiful and intense adventures you have two paths: either you choose that in order to fulfill yourself you need to totally change course or you throw yourself into even more exciting challenges. Needless to tell you what Alexander and Francis chose, right?

In 2016, Alessandro opened Hotel Sole Resort, a hotel with spa in the Marche region of Italy, in Marotta di Fano, whose splendid spa and beachfront location are its flagships.

In 2018, Francesco launched himself on a new project: the Casali Marchigiani. Having abandoned the Marche coast, he decided to devote himself to the management of 3 historic villas totally immersed in the heart of the countryside of Ostra, a small village in the province of Ancona.

We couldn't say no to Palazzo Bello

But now that I'm on the ball--why not dance to new tunes (or rather, verses )?
And in 2020 these verses sound something like this: Sempre caro mi fu questo ermo colle...

The new challenge is called Hotel Palazzo Bello, and for Alessandro and Francesco, a nice move to Recanati is in the works!

GFH: the answer when you wonder "Where to go on vacation in Marche"

Opsss... I guess the "extra words" I was telling you about at the beginning have become several more....
But after all, nothing better than our story can make you understand the idea of hospitality that accompanies our work.

Hospitality is family.
Hospitality is human relationship.
Hospitality is making you feel unique in a unique place for a unique occasion.

Hospitality is GFH.
